Red Point Siamese Cats and Their Colorful Relatives

Red Point Siamese cats are the most rare and beautiful unique breed in the Siamese cat family. They came along with their beautiful color variations, Apricot Points and Cream Points.

Red Point Siamese is the crossbreed of the pure Siamese cat with a Red Tabby cat as a result of carrying orange (o) genes in 1931 in the UK. They are also known as “Flame Points”. They were crossbred in very careful experiments by the breeders. However, the Governing Council of the Cat Fancy (GCCF) recognized them as an official Siamese cat breed color in the 1960s and they are also recognized as Red Point Siamese cats by The International Cat Association (TICA).
